Epique at Damansara Perdana

In need of a quick afternoon caffeine pick me up, we decided to drop by the cool little coffee shop located parallel to the entrance of Heritage Lane in Empire Damansara, Damansara Perdana.
It is the perfect size for a coffee shop. Not too big that it loses the comfort feeling and not too small that you feel cramped or lack of space. It has a good size seating area on it’s ground level as well as having a decent size second landing, making the most of what it has. The dim hanging lights that are so popular throughout similar coffee shops gives a nice, inviting ambiance.
The menu itself it fairly substantial for it’s hot and cold drinks. A selection of coffee, black coffee, hot chocolate, ice drinks, alternative, local flavours, ice cream mixed, teas and ice blended drinks. And we have to say that they drinks are very well priced, generally between RM6 and RM12 with the ice blended drinks the most expensive and RM14. These prices are very competitive, especially in the higher than average costing Heritage Lane, Empire Damansara collection of shops. They also have a delicious selection of cakes to give you that added compliment to your drink.
The first drink we had was the standard cafe latte (RM10). This was as was expected with the a nice flavoured coffee but still with that background creamy taste.
We were the recommended the German Cold Brew Fruit Tea (RM9). It had a very clean taste with the subtle flavours just enough fragrance to make this an interesting choice.
An old favourite of ours is the affogato (RM12) so we thought we had to try it here. Although we have seen some extravagant affogato’s deconstructed and the likes, this was the classic serving with the espresso covering a scoop of creamy ice cream. The difference here was that the ice cream was salted caramel which was just the perfect contradiction to the strong espresso.
A perfectly quaint but trendy little coffee shop, Epique definitely has all the tools to satisfy your caffeine craving.
